As the summer sun sets over the skies of Milan after a long and beautiful day, it is already a new day at my home in India, 2nd of July 2019. On this day in 1915, it was a year on, since the start of the world war 1, subsequently, the second world war and its cold war saga. The beginning of the liberal democracy and the free world as we see today, India, since independence, this audio recording, and even the complete life including this immediate second of all those who are listening to this podcast can be contained inside the lifespan of one individual who I’ve known since i was born – my grand father. Life can be beautiful as I feel it today, Isn’t it magical to live through those historic moments that shaped our today? Yes it is, to him, to my grandfather it has been a magical journey of 104 years and he is our window to see the distant past. May he live long with good health and happiness.
